An unexpected part of the trip is the Arkansas Scenic Route 7 byway.  This area has been described as one of the most scenic drives in America. The Arkansas Motorcycling Guide provides some good reference information which will help me navigate through the Ouachita Mountains famous for quartz crystals, Hot Springs, and the mountain town of Jasper in the Ozarks. 

I look forward to meeting locals in places like the Ozark Cafe (a legendary diner opened in 1909), the Queen City of Camden (full of Civil War history), and the many lake and mountain areas.
